Tough Night

I am back home from the hospital now without Kath. A long, long day for Kathleen. She had yet another CT of the specific location with the new pain. Not sure when we will get results on that. I suppose tomorrow. Yes, nervous about that. Kath is pretty well sleeping 90% of the time. It hard to see her like that. So shutdown physically. Because she has an infection, she is at least in a room by herself.

About In the Cancer Bubble

I am Kathleen's partner of almost 25yrs supporting her through this very tough and rough spot.

Dear Mike, I haven’t met you , but I know you are one hell of an amazing guy showing great strength and loving support for Kathleen , also an amazingly courageous and inspirational gal . I continue to pray for you both , that you continue to sustain each other with your boundless love and find blessings in the support of those around you. Blessings

thanks so much for keeping us in the loop Mike. Sleep as much as you can because you are Kathleen’s rock and you can best support her if you stay strong. Our fingers are crossed right along with yours. keeping you both in our prayers. Hope to hear that it’s nothing major and that she gets out of there soon. If you need anything or we can help in any way, just ask and we’ll be there. Can Kathleen have visitors or do you not want anyone there at this time?

Ohhh, sending you much love and warm energy right now. Yes, Isobel and I will send something via email = something Christmassy… she too was in the hospital today at Sick Kids for a lung x-ray, deep lung infection she has and when I talked to her about you being in the hospital she could really relate and wanted to send you a big hug. sorry to not be present on the blog…we are thinking about you and send big hugs. Dear Mike and Kathleen,
Sleep gives the body a chance to focus on fighting off the infection. It must be difficult though to see someone you love need all that time to rally thier defences.
Thinking of you all the time,
    Love Judy

    Hi Kathleen and Mike,

I’m glad to hear you are back at home. Thinking of you as you battle this infection. I hope you will be feeling stronger and in less pain very soon.

  6. Thinking of you and glad to know that Kathleen is in a location where she can get the close medical attention she needs at the moment. Sleeping gives her body the chance it needs to heal – look after yourself as well Mike. The medical care is only part of her healing equation. Sending warm thoughts.

    Dear Kathleen and Mike,

I am so sorry to hear what you are dealing with at this moment. There are times in life when it is hard to find the right words to say and to find some way of making things better for people I care about. I haven’t found the magic wand or the special secret. It sounds like you are doing all you can do and getting the medical care you need. All I can do from Ottawa is to let you know that you are both in my daily thoughts and well wishes and I continue to send you an abundance of positive energy, I hope you are able to take all the time you can to have some restorative rest.

    Bigs hugs. XOXO
